Frequently Asked Questions

How do cohorts differ from on-demand courses? +

Cohorts include weekly live workshops, critique circles, and deadlines. On-demand courses are self-paced with optional mentor office hours and peer pods. Both include practical assignments and templates.

Do you offer refunds? +

Yes. If a course doesn’t match the description within the first 7 days, email [email protected]. We may ask for an assignment or participation proof to improve our materials. Refunds are not available after substantial course completion.

Are certificates provided? +

Yes. We provide a digital certificate for courses with at least 80% assignment completion. It’s a recognition of effort, not an academic credential.

What is the expected weekly time commitment? +

Most courses require 3–5 hours weekly for lessons, drafting, and peer critique. Studio or mentored tracks may require 6–8 hours.

Do you have scholarships or sliding-scale pricing? +

We reserve need-based scholarships each quarter. Check the catalog for eligible courses or email [email protected] for upcoming windows.

Is accessibility a priority? +

Yes. We provide transcripts, captioned sessions, and high-contrast materials. Let us know what else would help you participate fully.

Can I switch cohorts or start dates? +

If space allows, we’ll help you transfer to a later start date up to one week before the course begins. Cohort chemistry matters, so we limit last-minute reshuffles.
